Richmond Park

Yesterday I went and explored Richmond Park. It is three times the size of Central Park and is the largest Royal Park in London. It was really cool.  We saw deer and a few different types of birds when we found the pond.

Camden Market

Over the weekend I ventured to Camden Market for the first time. It was amazing. I feel like I will be spending a lot of money there. I did not bring much money with me so I only bought one thing. It is a giant market similar to the swap meet. We went on a Saturday so there were tons of people there. After browsing all the booths we got some food and ate and people watched. The rest of the weekend was not that eventful. My roommate, another friend and I went to the Natural History Museum. We explored the dinosaur section, human biology and the mammal section. After my roommate and I explored Harrods for a little bit and ventured into Top Shop and H&M. Sunday I just relaxed and didn't do anything exciting. Here are some pictures from Camden Market....

School

I started my classes this week and so far they seem like pretty cool classes. I am taking World Cultural History, which is world history from 1500-1800, Versailles to Vietnam, which is U.S. history from the treaty of Versailles to the Vietnam war, and Intro to Sociology. This week I also booked a flight and hostel to Ireland for the second weekend in February. I am also planning a long weekend trip to Prague and Amsterdam, a weekend trip to Sweden and possibly a weekend trip to Capri!

Here are some pictures from around the town I live in...

You sound like you're from London!

So I have been in London for a little over a week now, and I have done so much. I came a week over with my mom and my sister. Our hotel was close to The Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum. We explored the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum which are both huge. We also went to Harrods one day which is gigantic also and a little overwhelming.  The Tower of London was pretty sweet even though we weren't able to do the whole tour they offered. The rest of the week my sister and I just explored different areas of the city.
On Monday I moved into my dorm room. My roommates name is Caitlyn and she is from New York. There are only 5 study abroad kids on my campus, the rest are full time students. The first two nights we went to some local pubs. On Thursday I went and saw Wicked. It was really awesome! I also got to meet some other study abroad kids who live on the campus in Kensington. Last night on Friday the University had a boat party for all the students. The boat cruised down the Thames river. I thought it would be awkward since most of the people were from the other campus but it turned out to be fun! Tonight I am going out in central London so that should be interesting. I will try to update this as much as possible.
